There is a loud rumbling noise when I accelerate, and upon research, I saw online that a lot of buyers are having the same issue as I am. It just doesn't sound good, I owned a 2005 Nissan Altima a few years back and this car sounded better than my current 2013 Altima. Just sounds like an old beat up car and it is only a few years old.

Sudden rumbling noise when accelerating... Went to the gym, left and halfway home (5-10 minute drive) I got a rumbling sound. It's hard to describe but it's a low rumbling when the accelerator pedal is pushed. As soon as I release the pedal, the noise stops. I just find it odd that it didn't start until a few minutes after driving.

When you put your foot down it sort of makes a real loud 'hmmmmm' noise, kinda like a boy racers exhaust, followed shortly by a sort of loud rattling noise aswel coming from the front of the car.

Fairly loud growling/grinding when accelerating along with a vibration/shaking that was felt in the steering wheel, and strong vibration felt in the brake pedal when stopping. Yesterday, I started the car in the garage, ran through the gears and revved the engine. No noise or vibration in Park, Neutral, or Reverse.

The noise is becoming unbearable. (loud noise at three specific rpm's and it's similar noise to engine struggling for power on an incline, worst is between 50 to 60 mph) I can assure you its NOT the lack of power here, as I am the only one in the minivan, with 3.5liter engine. It's some kind of resonating from the engine.
Mar 24, 2013 · The noise started with acceleration and sounded like an engine revving up and sounded like it was decelerating as it slowed down. It was a consistent noise. Loud enough to sound like having glass packed mufflers on the inside of the car. You could not hear it from outside the car as it drove past. My daughter was thinking of purchasing this car.
After watching the footage (that I will be putting at the end of this discussion) he was now 95% sure that the issue was the carrier bearing and that was the cause for the loud rumbling noise. Great! The issue has gone down to $80ish and I don't have to replace both CV rear axles which cost around $116 on one side and $130 on the other.
